Urgent Non Emergent Office Visits

When a health condition needs treatment quickly, you can visit Greater Boston Medical Associates for same day appointments. Patients who need treatment for illnesses as soon as possible can get the urgent care they need. We do our best to accommodate same day appointments. Some of the reasons patients might require a same day appointment include:

• Earache
• Cold and flu symptoms
• Urinary tract infection (UTI)
• Moderate injury or accident
• Fever
• Breathing difficulties
• Vomiting, diarrhea, or dehydration
• A severe sore throat or a cough
• Sprains and strains
• Skin rashes
• Pain
• Dizziness
• Undue fatigue of sudden onset
• Pink eye

Medical emergencies such as acute shortness of breath, life-threatening injuries, and crushing chest pains should be treated at an Emergency room immediately and should bypass same day care.

Same Day Appointments

While Greater Boston Medical Associates do not accept walk-ins, they can accommodate same-day appointments for semi-urgent situations.

The first thing to do when calling to schedule an appointment is to speak to the receptionist about your urgent need. This will help make sure that the issue is not an emergency situation which needs more immediate attention. When you speak to the receptionist, you should describe all your symptoms in detail.

This information will be passed on to a medical assistant or LPN and triage will determine if you should be seen that day or later and also to be sure you do not need emergency care which we cannot accommodate at our facilities.
